Massage Therapy - James Miller

Registered Massage Therapy takes many forms, from gentle and relaxing to injury rehabilitation. Your Massage Therapist can adjust the treatment according to personal preference and the reason why you’re seeking treatment.

Similar to massage, reflexology is a “systematic practice” that involves a therapist putting specific pressure in precise areas of the feet. These pressure points, or sensors, activate the parasympathetic nervous system. Activating this system leads to improved bodily functions, increased circulation of blood, and more rapid firing of nerves which opens up energetic pathways.

Osteopathy is a non-invasive form of manual therapy incorporating manipulation of muscles and joints (similar to chiropractic and physiotherapy), influencing interrelated systems to facilitate the body’s natural healing and regulating mechanisms. According to the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy, “Osteopathy is a science, a philosophy, and a practice.” Founded initially in the 1870s by Andrew Taylor Still, an American physician and surgeon, Still viewed the body as having the natural ability to heal and regulate when functioning effectively. The practice of Osteopathy has continued to evolve as it is informed by experience and ongoing research. It is now recognized by the World Health Organisation and other international bodies as a complementary therapy alongside traditional medicine.
